About
Yoga No Slip and the Cork Helping Hands were designed by Cassandra. She has been practicing yoga since 2016, the same month she graduated with her masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Missouri - St Louis.
She began her yoga practice as a form of fitness, but stayed for the peace of mind that developed with routine practice. She was soon yoga obsessed and went on to earn her 200 level RYT (yoga instructor) in January 2019 at Yoga Core and More (now Moodbird Yoga) in O'fallon, IL.
She works as a Family Nurse Practitioner in telehealth primary care that is heavily based in mental health care. She focuses treating the whole person as mental health is not isolated and often overlaps with other organ systems.
Starting Lotus No Slip with the premiere product Cork Helping Hands is her passion project. She hopes to facilitate an easier transition into the yoga practice. Her primary frustration with yoga is sliding on the mat as it can pull focus from practice and breathwork. Finding the right mat for the practitioner can sometimes take years depending on specifics of the person, practice, and goals. The Cork Helping Hands offer an affordable way to provide the grip you seek while developing your practice, especially when the $200 mats are not in the budget.
