Tips for Use

Before initial use:

-Clean your mat with dish soap and water (rinse with water) allowing the mat to completely dry prior to placing your Cork Helping Hands for proper adherence.

-If you have a Manduka PRO, you will have to be sure to do a salt scrub prior to applying your Cork Helping Hands. See care for tips on salt scrubs. Note this is only recommended for the Manduka PRO and should be avoided on other mats.

-Finding the right placement: Lay face down on your mat and push your upper body into cobra as you normally would in practice. Take note of where your hands are placed on the mat. That is where you are going to want to stick your Cork Helping Hands on your mat.

-Once placing your Cork Helping Hands, apply pressure to the product by getting a practice in or performing a couple of Sun Salutations to help solidify the adherence to the mat.

Before Routine Use:

-Keep your Cork Helping Hands fresh. Make sure you don't have any oils or lotions on your hands and arms prior to use as they can decrease the natural tackiness of the cork and can shorten the functional life span of the product. Therefore, wash your hands and arms with soap and water prior to each use.

After Routine Use:

-Wipe away excess liquids/sweat by blotting or dabbing with a dry absorbent towel following practice.

-When rolling your mat, make sure the Cork Helping Hands end up on the exposed end of the roll to allow the cork to air dry without risking mildew or mold growth.

Cleaning your Helping Hands:

-If you find that your Cork Helping Hands need a bit of a refresh, you simply use a sponge with warm water and a small amount of dish soap to dab the cork. Allow to completely dry prior to rolling up you mat.
